Key Communicator
What is the Key Communicator Program?
It is a network of Troy School District staff, parents, community members, and board members who are interested in our schools and are well-connected to the schools and/or the community.
The idea is to promote a continuing exchange between Key Communicators and the school district. Key Communicators become the eyes, ears, and mouthpiece for our district.
Why do we need Key Communicators?
How does the Key Communicator Program work?
Each Key Communicator is asked to send questions routinely to Superintendent, Klaire Vogt. These questions may be coming directly from the Key Communicator or those that the Key Communicator hears from community members. The Superintendent will disperse the questions to employees in the district who can best answer the questions. Once the Superintendent receives the answers, then they will be included in the Question and Answer newsletter sent to the Key Communicators on a monthly basis.
Throughout the normal course of the day ─ at a community meeting, at soccer practice, band practice, or chatting with a neighbor ─ Key Communicators are asked to share the information then make the Superintendent aware of questions or concerns by contacting her at 208-835-3791 or emailing her at keycommunicator@troysd287.org
Periodically, we may contact you via telephone or letter to explore a particular issue. There are no mandatory meetings (except we will invite you to two meetings per year and if you cannot attend the meeting, then we will update you via email); we simply ask that you help us keep informed of what our community thinks about what is happening in our district.
How will the Key Communicator Program benefit the Troy community?
- The program serves as a valuable communications tool to monitor and proactively manage issues.
- All community groups are represented, so your input serves as a sampling of district opinions.
- The program serves to keep the district grounded in community values and beliefs.
